Cohen, Salk & Huvard is a boutique law firm with an emphasis on real estate, lending and commercial litigation. We have served some institutional clients for more than 45 years. With our emphasis on client relationships, we become familiar with the client's needs as if we were in-house counsel. We pay attention to our clients, provide a sounding board for their ideas, and balance legal analysis with business sense. Our clients know that we are devoted to them.
Clients rely on us when they know a matter must be handled timely and without compromise in quality. Our lawyers have experience with projects of unusual complexity and difficulty. The depth of our experience is apparent in the representative work matters we list under Practice Areas and Attorneys.
A corollary to our being a small firm is that we do not often encounter conflicts of interest among clients. We take seriously the duty of loyalty to our clients, first and foremost. We believe in maintaining integrity and honesty in our everyday dealings.
Our lawyers practice at the leading edge of many legal developments, but we do not look for complexity where pragmatism is preferable. Experienced lawyers must be able to discern when novelty is brilliant, useful or just unhelpful and when the middle ground is the better solution.
